The musical spoof Silence! The Musical has a new off-Broadway home in Times Square beginning July 18. The hit musical will take up residence in the brand-new Elektra Theatre on 42nd Street. An unauthorized parody of the Oscar-winning film The Silence of the Lambs, Silence! The Musical features a book by Hunter Bell, music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction and choreography by Christopher Gattelli.
In Silence! The Musical, rookie FBI agent Clarice Starling (Jenn Harris) matches wits with the brilliant but insane cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter (David Garrison), to catch the mysterious serial killer known only as Buffalo Bill (Stephen Bienskie). Clarice faces her own demons while racing the clock to unlock Lecter’s clues before another innocent girl is killed and skinned by Buffalo Bill.
The cast of Silence! also features Ronica V. Reddick as Ardelia Mapp, Annie Funke as Catherine Martin, as well as Callan Bergman, Pamela Bob, Harry Bouvy, Ashlee Dupre, Howard Kaye, Nick McGough, Topher Nuccio, Kimberly Stern and Doug Trapp.
After a run at off-Broadway's Theatre 80, Silence! opened on July 9, 2011 at PS 122, where it currently runs through July 15.
